No Place Like Home (NPLH) is a unique pet-sitting service that’s tailored to the scheduling needs of each client and specific to your pet’s home routine and needs.
Whether it’s just a mid-day check-in or extended well-checks and play time, NPLH has an array of options that’s perfect for the busy, pet-lover. NPLH has a limited service area in the Quad Cities.

About Me – Anna the Irish Sitter
Let’s face it. Nobody loves your pet more than you do. But when you can’t be with them, NPLH will give you the next best thing – The Irish Sitter. Anna Bourke is a life-long animal lover. She’s an empath who instantly falls in love with every animal she meets. She’s a dog owner herself and often deals with the guilty feeling of leaving “Bean” along for long periods of time. She treats ever animal she meets like her own and finds ways to make them comfortable while you’re away.
Anna has extensive experience with animal boarding and sitting. More importantly, she loves what she does, even with the more challenging pets! Since she can’t be everywhere at once, Anna has trained associates that are vetted and trained for all the services. She makes sure all of her associates love animals as much as her and are trustworthy and conscientious.
Our Pet Care Services
Daily Check-In
Sometimes, all your pet may need is a simple social and potty break while you’re at work. That’s where a daily check-in comes in handy. For this service, Anna or a trained associate will come to your house, let your pet out if needed and check on the house and surroundings. While checking in, you’ll get a texted picture of your pet getting whatever food, water or other needs they may have. Each check-in is no more than 15 minutes of time.
Daily Play-Time
For more energetic animals, a daily play time may be more appropriate. This service involves interaction that your pet enjoys for an extended period of time. Daily play times can be either 30 minutes or 60 minutes, depending on the pet and client’s needs.
Play Time with Bean
Does your dog crave interaction with other dogs? This may be a good service for you. Bean is a happy, energetic Puggle (Pug/Beagle mix) who loves to play. With a quick meet-and-greet, we can determine if the dogs are compatible for play. If they are, Anna can bring Bean along to play for 30 or 60 minutes at a time.
Vacation Monitoring
If you are away for more than a day at a time, you may need both your house and your pets to be checked in on. No problem. Anna can arrange a schedule based on your house and pet needs. Generally, these services involve one or more of the services listed above on regular basis, such as morning, afternoon and evening.
